Conversation Piece azaleas should be a wonderful addition to any landscape. These azaleas make some really nice, large, four inch diameter pink flowers that are outlined in white with red spots. The interesting thing about these plants are the flowers will look different on the same plant. Conversation Piece azaleas bloom not once, but twice a year. You will get to enjoy their beautiful blooms during both spring and fall.
These shrubs are a dwarf variety that grows between two and three feet tall and between two and three feet wide. Give them at least a four foot spacing when planting. These azaleas are evergreen so they will look good throughout the winter. They grow in both full sun or partial sun. Azaleas will do best when receiving morning sun and some shade later on in the day. They can be grown in the ground or in a container pot. Azaleas need well draining soil since they will drown if they are planted in an area that is continually wet.
The Conversation Piece Azalea was added to the Louisiana Super Plants Program back in 2012. These plants are easy to care for and look great with minimal effort. They typically are not bothered by many insects, diseases, or dear.
